This Privacy Policy explains how Virtu Studios LLC (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use Vinyl Exchange (the “Service”).

1. Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored hashed), or, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile information Google shares.
• Listings & content — the items, descriptions, and photos you upload.
• Orders & shipping — purchase records and the shipping address you provide at checkout so sellers can fulfill orders.
• Payment information — payments and payouts are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number or bank details; Stripe collects and holds that information under its own privacy policy.
• Usage data — basic analytics (such as pages viewed and device/browser information) collected to operate and improve the Service.

2. How we use information

• To operate the marketplace — accounts, listings, and orders.
• To process payments and payouts and to charge our platform fee, through Stripe.
• To send transactional messages (order confirmations, shipping and refund notices) and, if you opt in, marketplace updates.
• To provide support and to prevent fraud and abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. How we share information

• Between buyers and sellers — to complete a transaction we share the information needed to fulfill it, such as the buyer’s shipping address with the seller.
• Service providers — including Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Vercel (hosting and analytics), and Neon (database), who process data on our behalf.
• Legal reasons — where required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the Service.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to run the Service, plus limited analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Transaction records may be retained as required for tax and accounting purposes.

6. Your rights

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
